At Renegade Church the phrase “Expect the Unexpected” is one we live by.

Expect the Unexpected when you walk in.

If you have never been to church, or come from a very traditional church back ground, you might be surprised by our laid back approach on Sunday mornings. When you come to one of our services we want you to come as you are…the real you. If you like suits and ties that’s fine, but the pastor will most likely be wearing jeans, well worn Doc Marten’s, and a whatever style shirt he has on we can guarantee it will almost never be tucked in. Some argue that you should dress up for church to give “God your best”. We know that God looks past what you are wearing and sees straight into your heart. He cares more about what is on the inside than how you cover the outside. So come as you are, God loves you and so will Renegade Church.

Expect the Unexpected in our services.

At Renegade we believe that boring church is a sin, and that is why the worship and message is fresh and ever changing. As our talent pool grows and new people with artistic gifts join don’t be surprised if musically you hear a classic hymn done with a modern arrangement, a melody of contemporary choruses and worship songs, and mainstream radio hits that tie in with the message by artists such as Nickelback, Tim McGraw, John Mayer, Rascal Flatts and others. And of course there is always the posiblity that Pastors Bard and Skip will have one of their creative “illistration” videos like this one or maybe a parody musice video like their classic “Sunday” video.

Traditional in Theology, but Untraditional in how we present it.

We know that everyone learns differently, so we present God’s word in many different and creative ways. One week we may feature drama, videos, or dance. Another week might be a message from a member of our team, the next it might be a Leno/Oprah style interview with someone who has a great life story to tell. Teaching regularly includes special illustrations and visuals to help make scripture come alive. From one series to another, the order of the service, the balance of teaching time to music, when the offering is taken (or just dropped into the red buckets), and so on will change. You never know exactly what is coming from one service to the next. The one thing you can always expect is that Renegade’s services will present God’s word in a relevant way and help you see how you can apply it to your everyday life.
